I became interested in family history when I was in my teens. In 1986 I began working as a professional genealogist, and I was subsequently accredited by the Australasian Association of Genealogists and Record Agents. I have a Graduate Diploma in Local and Applied History (University of New England, Armidale NSW), and in 2001 I received the Queensland Family History Society's Award for Services to Family History. My speciality is research at Queensland State Archives. I particularly enjoy tracing living descendants and working with unusual sources that overcome 'dead ends' in family history research.
My publications include Tips for Queensland Research and Specialist Indexes in Australia, and various indexes to Qld State Archives sources.
