Judy Webster is an experienced family historian and professional genealogist who specialises in using (and indexing) records at Queensland State Archives. Judy particularly enjoys working with unusual sources because they often overcome 'dead ends' in research. On several occasions Judy has been employed by the Archives as an indexer, and she has been a guest speaker at many genealogy seminars run by family history organisations, Council libraries etc.
After Judy began doing professional research in 1986, she was accredited by the Australasian Association of Genealogists and Record Agents. In 2001 she received the Qld Family History Society's Award for Services to Family History.
Judy's publications include two guides, Tips for Queensland Research and Specialist Indexes in Australia, and numerous indexes.
Judy Webster's Web site includes free advice on sources and techniques for genealogical research, lists of names from many indexes, details of her talks and research services, and a personal family tree.
